Professor Giuliani holds a Professorship in Paediatric Surgery at the University College London Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, where he leads a research group in advanced intraoperative imaging for surgical oncology and other neonatal conditions.

Prof Giuliani’s research involves developing novel technologies to enable surgeons to remove paediatric cancer more effectively and with fewer complications.

Prof Giuliani has also been a pioneer in the use of fluorescence-guided surgery in neonates and children. These novel technologies make the surgeries safer, more effective and with less pain for his young patients.

Prof Giuliani has published more than 200 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, and he regularly presents his research at international meetings all around the world.

Prof Giuliani welcomes Research Fellows from other countries to join his team and to actively work on research projects for a period of 12-24 months.
